Bags of Creativity

Growtheatre was delighted to be part of Create Sheffield (Sheffield’s Local Cultural Education Partnership) and IVE’s Bags of Creativity. The project distributed Bags of Creativity to 2004 children and young people across the Sheffield and was part of a Yorkshire-wide initiative during the first Covid lockdown in 2020.

The Bags of Creativity were designed by IVE to make sure the children and young people could be creative at home, during the first Lockdown in the Pandemic, by providing each child with their own bag of arty/crafty/makey materials and a pile of ideas of how to use them.

Growtheatre was one of nineteen creative practitioners and organisations in Sheffield chosen to provide ideas for creative activities, each of which was printed onto postcards and then put into the bags. Growtheatre designed activities for three age groups (2-6, 7-11, 12-16). We loved working on this project and hope that many children and young people enjoyed being creative in Lockdown.
